Home Reset, Organizing & Styling for Los Angeles Homes — Calm • Flow • Function

Your home is telling you it’s time to change

We all have That One Room™.
The room you avoid, apologize for, or close the door on when people come over. The room where:
– Piles happen
– Stuff lingers
– Hand-me-down decor and half-finished projects live
– To-do’s sit silently, waiting for you to have “more time”
– Nothing has a real home, so everything feels unsettled
Every time you walk in, your brain just says nope.
Being in there makes your whole body tense, and it drains your energy just by existing in your peripheral vision.
It’s not just a room anymore.
It’s a feeling.
House Therapy is a home reset service for Los Angeles — the reset your home and your head have been craving.

Our philosophy

If a room feels heavy, stuck, chaotic, or overwhelming, it’s usually not just about the decor. It’s about the energy, the story, the season you’re in, and what your space is holding for you.House Therapy blends design insight, intuition, and strategy to transform the feel, flow, and function of your home. We provide home resets, organizing, styling, and space-planning support for people across the Los Angeles area — whether you’re renting, staying, renovating, or preparing to sell.We start with the room that’s weighing you down the most, then reset it so your space feels lighter, calmer, and more supportive of who you are now.Founded by Crystal Ferris, LA-based Realtor, investor, and lifelong design lover, House Therapy is rooted in years of helping clients transform the look and feel of their homes — for better living, smarter investing, and faster selling. When your environment shifts, your energy shifts.
When your energy shifts, your life shifts.

Inside the experience

House Therapy shifts your space so your life can move again. Our work sits at the intersection of home organizing, interior styling, and emotional clarity. House Therapy is a blend of:• Organizer: We help you clear what’s blocking flow — clutter, visual noise, and systems that no longer work.
• Designer: We rearrange, edit, style, and rethink how your space functions so it feels intentional and beautiful.
• Therapist/Energy Guide: We help you understand what you need from the space, what it’s holding emotionally, and what needs to shift.
This is not traditional organizing.
This is not just interior design.
This is House Therapy:
Hands-on home reset + emotional clarity + real-time transformation.
We don’t just talk about changing your space.
We literally change it together — so you feel a difference that day.

The Reset

A hands-on, in-home home reset session focused on the room that’s draining you the most.We don’t jump straight to renovation.
We don’t start by buying a bunch of new things.
We start with what you already have, how you really live, and what you need right now.During your Reset, we work together to:
– Clear physical and visual clutter
– Edit what no longer fits your life now
– Rearrange furniture and decor for better flow
– Restyle using what you already own
– Create a room that feels calm, functional, and yours again
You’ll feel relief the same day.
The shift is both emotional and physical.
This home reset service is for you if:
– You have That One Room™ that stresses you out every time you see it
– You’re tired of thinking about fixing the space and want someone to help you do it
– You want a room that feels calmer, lighter, and easier to be in
– You’re overwhelmed by where to start and need hands-on support, not another Pinterest board
– Your life has shifted (new job, new baby, new season), but your home hasn’t caught up
– You crave relief now and live in the greater Los Angeles area

The Refresh

For when you’re ready to upgrade your space — whether you’re living in it, preparing to rent it out, or getting it ready to sell.Maybe the room feels outdated.
Maybe the layout isn’t working.
Maybe the finishes or fixtures no longer match your taste or the market.
The Refresh is where we map out what the space needs to become — and then help you make it real. It’s ideal for Los Angeles homeowners, sellers, and investors who want smart, value-conscious updates. This service is for you if:
– You’re ready to make meaningful upgrades, but want guidance and clarity
– You’ve tried to “figure it out” alone and got overwhelmed
– You don’t want to waste time or money on the wrong choices
– You want your home to feel intentional, beautiful, and truly yours
– You’re preparing to sell and want to make value-smart improvements that appeal to LA buyers
– You’re preparing to rent and want durable, design-forward, cost-wise choices
Together, we focus on the right refinements — not reinvention for reinvention’s sake.

CASE STUDIES

Not every home needs a full renovation — sometimes it just needs a realignment. The House Therapy Framework was born out of years of meeting clients where they are — in budget, bandwidth, and timing — and still creating spaces that look elevated and feel effortless. Some Los Angeles homes only need a simple reset — a furniture shift, a declutter, a new flow. Others benefit from a light refresh — paint, lighting, or a few key design updates. And some are ready for a full reimagination. These case studies break down how to tell which level your home really needs — from Reset to Refresh to Remodel.

The Reset- La Cañada

Sometimes transformation is as simple as subtraction. This family had a warm, welcoming home and pieces they loved — but over time, daily life had layered on visual clutter and decision fatigue. We edited, simplified, and made the room breathe again. We cleared the surfaces, let go of what no longer belonged, and rearranged their existing furniture and décor to create flow, openness, and calm. The result:
A space that feels grounded, livable, and peaceful in the middle of family life.
Same home. Same pieces. Completely different energy.
Budget: $0.

The Reset- Hollywood

When you work with what you have and rediscover the potential that was always there. This homeowner had great taste and a home filled with pieces they loved.
The space didn’t need new furniture or a totally new vision — it needed a reset.
At this Hollywood Hills home, we edited out the visual noise, removed what was no longer supporting the space, and rearranged what remained for better flow, harmony, and ease. The result:
A room that feels lighter, calmer, and more aligned with how the family is living today.
Same pieces. New energy.
Budget: $0.

The Refresh- Atwater

A light remodel is about refinement — not reinvention. For this Atwater Village home, we focused on simple, high-impact updates: fresh interior and exterior paint, cleaned-up landscaping, and the removal of outdated finishes. The result? A home that feels brighter, lighter, and ready for its next chapter.

The Refresh- Studio City

A full remodel is about reimagining what’s possible — not just updating what’s there. For this Studio City home, we started with solid midcentury bones and opened it up to feel like a modern treehouse. The result: a soulful midcentury revival that feels timeless, grounded, and completely transformed.

Meet Crystal

Crystal Ferris is the founder of House Therapy — a home reset, organizing, and styling practice rooted in the belief that a home should support the life you’re living now, not just the one you built in the past. She is a Los Angeles–based Realtor and the founder of Studio Type A, a creative real estate, design, and investment studio. With a background as both a scientist and a teacher, her work is driven by deep curiosity about how our environments shape how we feel, function, and evolve. Crystal is drawn to the subtle signals of misalignment in a home: the room no one uses, the layout that makes sense on paper but not in daily life, the space that no longer reflects who someone is becoming. She focuses on uncovering the “why” behind those feelings and creating intentional shifts that restore clarity, flow, and ease. House Therapy was born from years spent working with clients across all stages of life and homeownership in the Los Angeles area. Crystal saw that meaningful change doesn’t always require a renovation — sometimes it’s as simple as adjusting how a room is arranged or clearing visual noise. Other times, it’s a light refresh: paint, lighting, or a few key design updates. The House Therapy Framework was designed to meet clients exactly where they are — in budget, bandwidth, and timing — while still creating spaces that feel elevated and effortless.Through House Therapy and Studio Type A, Crystal’s work is guided by a core belief:
When a home aligns with the people living in it, everything else moves with more ease.
